The Tigo Gateway provides a reliable 2.4 GHz wireless connection to any smart photovoltaic module. RS485 connection to other gateways and to Cloud Connect is recommended to be made with a UV resistant twisted pair cable. The gateway should be mounted in the middle of the PV module board—underneath the module or on a support structure.
Each gateway can communicate with up to 120 smart modules at distances of up to 15 m. Using the RS485 connection, the board can be extended to 7 gateways and 360 modules.
